windows to the soullong black lashes, like spiders legs
dancing atop elegant cheekbones
dark centers, like the middle of an expensive chocolate
seemingly bore into your soul,
revealing all your secrets
rings of color, like a china cabinet gone awry
adding depth and emotion to the words
pouring from her strawberry lips
green to blue to steely grey, like a child's coloring book
the color changes like day to night
like spring to summer, fall to winter
patterns swirling in the colors, like creamer in hot coffee
spikes curving around in a perfect circle
energy shining bright, like the stars in the sky
The dress was deep purple, floor length, with a short train. The square neckline was accented with black lace and a black broach, and there was a line of drop beads circling the empire waist that dropped down to the top of the bustle in the back, as well as around the sleeves. There was a line of black pearl buttons going down the back, ending with another large beaded brooch on the bustle. The back of the skirt bunched three times before it hit the ground, where it gently pooled.

as the wind pulls at your hair,
you stand powerless, shaking with fear
stare into the coming shadows
